The people of Bosome Freho have received a major boost in access to clean and potable water, following the successful construction of four mechanized boreholes across selected communities by their MP, Hon. Asafo-Adjei Ayeh.
The initiative, which was made possible through the support of Dr. Ishmael Ackah, the former CEO of the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC) and the erstwhile NPP government, was in response to a personal request made on behalf of the people by the young dynamic MP, Hon. Asafo-Adjei.
The beneficiary communities; Dunkura, Yapesa, Anumso, and Nsueam, have expressed deep gratitude for the project, describing it as a timely intervention that has brought relief to their daily lives.
In addition, nine more borehole projects personally facilitated by Hon. Asafo-Adjei are set to be commissioned in the coming days. These will serve the communities of Asiwa, Abosamso, Amomorso, Freso, Korkyikrom, Adieto, Adipa, Ahwiaso, and Anwiaso.
According to the MP, the water projects aim to guarantee sustainable access to safe and potable water for residents across the constituency. He further appealed to non-governmental organizations, corporate bodies, and development partners to join hands in supporting similar initiatives that will uplift the living standards of the people of Bosome Freho.
The projects mark another significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to improve basic social amenities and enhance community well-being in the district.
Since assuming office as a first-time Member of Parliament, Hon. Asafo-Adjei has demonstrated remarkable commitment to the welfare of his constituents. Beyond his active participation and advocacy in Parliament, he has been directly involved in community development and youth empowerment initiatives.
Recently, he extended support to BECE graduates who gained admission into various Senior High Schools by donating thousands of educational materials and offering financial assistance to aid their academic journey.
These interventions, coupled with the latest water projects, underscore Hon. Asafo-Adjei’s dedication to improving the lives of his people and fostering sustainable development in the Bosome Freho Constituency.
